19th Urban Mobility India Conference
The Embassy of India in Brazil is pleased to inform that the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, Government of India, is organizing the 19th Urban Mobility India (UMI) Conference-cum-Exhibition 2026 from 23–24 October 2026 at Hotel Mayfair Sanctuary, Bhubaneswar, Odisha.
The theme of this year’s Conference is "Urban Accessibility and Liveability in Digital Age."
Since its inception in 2008, the UMI Conference has served as an international platform for sharing innovative ideas, promoting best practices from India and around the world, and deliberating on key issues and challenges in urban transport. Eighteen editions have been held to date, bringing together renowned national and international experts, government officials, professionals, industry representatives, academia and other stakeholders in the field.
The event comprises three components: a Conference for the exchange of best practices among decision makers and practitioners, including awards for excellence in urban transport across ten categories; an Exhibition showcasing the latest developments in urban transport technology, systems and projects; and a Research Symposium highlighting current research by academia and research institutes, with particular space for young researchers at post-graduate and Ph.D. level.
The 2026 edition will offer professionals, delegates, institutions and firms engaged in urban mobility and related sectors an opportunity to take part in technical sessions, round tables and plenary discussions, and to explore emerging solutions for the future of urban transportation. Interested Brazilian participants are encouraged to attend and benefit from the exchange of knowledge and experiences with Indian and international counterparts.
