Jurisdiction of Embassy and Consulate

The Consulate General of India, Sao Paulo (hyperlink to https://www.cgisaopaulo.gov.in ) has consular jurisdiction over the following states of Brazil

• São Paulo;
• Rio de Janeiro;
• Paraná;
• Santa Catarina; and
• Rio Grande do Sul

Therefore, people residing in any of the above listed states should approach CGI Sao Paulo for seeking all type of service such as visa, passport and misc. consular services viz. registration of births, deaths, marriage, attestation of documents, affidavits etc., and seeking consular assistance for Indians in distress.

The Embassy of India in Brasilia has jurisdiction over all other states of Brazil, hence residents of remaining all the states of Brazil should approach Embassy of India, Brasilia for all such services.
