CRITICAL METALS CONGRESS – CRITMET 2025

The Embassy of India in Brasília is pleased to share that CSIR–National Metallurgical Laboratory (NML), Jamshedpur, India, is organizing the Critical Metals Congress – CRITMET 2025 from 6–8 November 2025 at its campus in Jamshedpur, the Steel City of India. This physical/offline event commemorates the 75th year of CSIR-NML’s contributions in minerals, metals, materials, and environmental research.

CRITMET 2025 will provide a global platform for researchers, industries, and policymakers to discuss advancements in the availability, extraction, recycling, and applications of critical minerals and metals. Key thematic areas include:

  • Distribution and pre-concentration of critical minerals and metals
  • Chemistry of critical metals
  • Production and development of critical and strategic metals
  • Separation technologies for critical metals
  • Recovery of critical elements from secondary resources
  • National and international policy frameworks on critical metals

As the first event of its kind in India, CRITMET 2025 is expected to attract over 400 participants, including industrial leaders, process consultants, equipment and chemical suppliers, and technology providers. Organized in collaboration with the Ministry of Mines and Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeITY), the congress offers a unique opportunity to connect with Indian industries and explore commercial and technological partnerships.
