RailTel Corporation of India Ltd. (RailTel) is a "Mini-Ratna" Public Sector Company under Ministry of Railways, Govt. of India. RailTel has created a pan-India Fiber optic network along the Railway track connecting over 6000+ Railway stations. From the network, RailTel provides high capacity (DWDM based) lease line services, MPLS-VPN and Internet bandwidth services to Railways and various other Central & State Govt. departments/organisations of the country.

RailTel has also setup two Uptime certified Tier-III Data Center in the country (Gurgaon/Delhi and Secunderabad/Hyderabad) from which RailTel is providing host of managed services including Cloud and Security Operations for various Government organisations.

RailTel is now looking forward to setup a minimum 30 MW Tier-III Data Center using its land of 17000 sq mt. in Noida (near New Delhi). For this work, RailTel has invited an RFP for “Selection of Managed Service Data Centre (DC) partner for Development of Data Centre at RailTel’s Noida Land”.

The purpose of the RFP is to invite Global and/or Indian Companies to invest, create and operate the data center of RailTel (including Cloud services) for a period of 20 years (extendable) on a revenue share basis. This provides an opportunity for partnership with RailTel for delivering DC services jointly including to Government (G2G) segment.
