Greetings from The Plastics Export Promotion Council (PLEXCONCIL)!
As you may be aware, PLEXCONCIL is the apex body established under the aegis of the Department of Commerce, Ministry of Commerce & Industry, GOI to represent and promote the Indian plastics export industry. The Council was established in 1955 and has over the past more than six decades been the voice of the industry, helming growth and progress of the plastics industry at various leading global platforms.
Aligning ourselves to the Hon’ble PM’s vision to lead India towards becoming a USD 5 Trillion economy by 2025, and in light of the shift in the global supply chain dynamics post-pandemic, PLEXCONCIL has been undertaking active measures to highlight Indian industry as a better alternative and a global hub for sourcing plastics products. Today, not only India is one of the larger exporters of plastics raw materials, but we have earned significant recognition in numerous other value-added product categories as well. Plastics exports in FY 22-23 stood at USD 11.96 Billion and the Council has plans in place to achieve USD 25 Billion by 2025.
